Playroom Refresh

A few months ago, the Mama and I received an email from a company called Home Dynamix asking if we wanted a rug in exchange for an Instagram and blog post. What I never realized when I started our Instagram page, a little over three years ago, was that one day companies would be sending us free stuff in an exchange for a post. I’m not gonna lie, it’s pretty amazing and I’m so thankful for these generous companies. A rug is a pretty big item so I was super excited. However, I didn’t really need a rug so I told my mom to get one for her house. Unfortunately, she didn’t need one either. So then I thought, well maybe I’ll replace my dining room rug or get a new rug for my living room. I looked every night for a few weeks and just couldn’t decide.

And then something amazing/awful happened. My son left an open container of slime in the playroom and my daughter rubbed it all over our playroom rug 😩. When I realized this, I panicked. I tired to get it up, but several spots just weren’t budging. I was super bummed because I loved our playroom rug. I lived with it for a while and then thought, HELLO, I’ll replace the slime stained rug with a new one from Home Dynamix. Talk about perfect timing!

I finally picked one out that I loved and thought would look amazing… and boy does it! When I received the rug, I could not of been happier! It is seriously the most gorgeous rug in my home! It is so PLUSH and COMFORTABLE and the design looks so good. Its from the Christian Siriano Collection and is called the CHELSEA SHAG. I get so many compliments on it. With the rug being so beautiful, I decided that my entire playroom in general needed to step it’s game up! So it inspired a mini makeover. New chairs from Wayfair, new wall decor, a new lamp and a brand new accent wall made this makeover complete again, all thanks to my new rug. Isn’t it funny how one fab new item to a room can literally spiral into changing it into a whole new room? Thank you Home Dynamix for your beautiful rug and creating a whole beautiful updated playroom for my kiddos.
